4️⃣ In Maths, the children used string as a unit of measure to determine and compare the perimeter of a range of 2D shapes. We walked around the edge of the playground and counted how many steps it took. The adults took less steps than the Year 4 children because their feet were bigger. We learnt that to compare the perimeter, we must use the same unit of measure!

2️⃣ Y2 learnt about the benefits of technology this week. Rather than using technology, each person had a role in the shop. One person was the customer who presented three barcodes at the till. One person was the scanner who had to compare the barcode to the list of products. Finally, one person was in charge of calculating the total price. They concluded that technology makes buying items so much quicker and helps us make less mistakes!
