4️⃣ Year 4 enjoyed developing their Hockey skills in PE. This week, we practised our push pass. We used two cones to create a gate and had to control the ball to pass it to our partner. When we felt confident, we made the gate smaller to see if we could still pass just as successfully!

💻🍃 Our pupil leaders enjoyed a live lesson hosted by @adobeforedu yesterday. The Digital Leaders used their technology skills to develop a poster linking for Energy Saving Week. This gave the Eco Reps a chance to think about some ideas ahead of sharing them at a meeting next week.

2️⃣ Year 2 use the Bee-Bots as part of their Computing unit all about programming. We learnt about what an ‘algorithm’ is and created our own algorithms with four instructions. Finally, we tested our algorithms which showed that the order of the steps in the sequence is very important. Using the same four steps in a different order completely changed where the Bee-Bot ends up.

2️⃣ Inspired by the poem ‘The Sound Collector’ by Roger McGough, Year 2 went on a sound hunt around the school. They listened carefully to the whirring of the printer, the creaking of the door and the click-clacking of the keyboards in the office. Later this week, we will be writing poems about what might be stolen by the Sound Collector.
